Wave Transit provides bus, trolley and shuttle services for much of Southeastern North Carolina. Wave offers several fixed bus routes, the Seahawk Shuttle for UNCW students, the Free Downtown Trolley and shuttle buses to nearby counties, known as the Brunswick and Columbus connectors. Wave also provides curb-to-curb, Dial-a-Ride-Transportation (DART) service for handicapped individuals.

Wilmington’s commercial airlines, Delta and US Airways, fly out of this airport. ASA, a Delta Connection, offers seven daily flights to Atlanta. Comair, another Delta Connection, offers one daily flight to Cincinnati. US Airways offers nine connecting flights through Charlotte, four daily flights to Philadelphia and three to New York’s LaGuardia Airport.
