The medical center has 628 licensed beds, including 60 beds in the Coastal Rehabilitation Hospital and 62 beds in the Oaks Behavioral Health Hospital. The hospital offers the only Level II trauma center in the area as well as the area’s only neonatal intensive-care unit. Other specialties include adult intensive care, inpatient pediatric services, open-heart surgery, cardiac catheterization and a designated teaching center program. It has 28 operating rooms.
